The first consumer rights protection-themed square in Chuzhou City has been completed at Xingyuan Nan Yuan in Tianyi Huafu. The thematic pillar, bearing the slogan “Satisfactory Consumption in the Yangtze River Delta, Worry-Free Consumption in Chuzhou,” gleams brilliantly in the sunlight, perfectly complementing the happy figures of residents strolling or enjoying the cool evening breeze on the square.
The first consumer rights protection-themed square in Chuzhou City has been completed at Xingyuan Nan Yuan in Tianyi Huafu. The thematic pillar, bearing the slogan “Satisfactory Consumption in the Yangtze River Delta, Worry-Free Consumption in Chuzhou,” gleams brilliantly in the sunlight, perfectly complementing the happy figures of residents strolling or enjoying the cool air on the square.
Since 2020, the Municipal Market Supervision Administration and the Municipal Consumer Protection Committee, in collaboration with multiple departments, have actively carried out the “Creating a Worry-Free Consumption Environment” campaign by expanding formats, enriching platforms, promoting self-regulation, and leading co-creation and joint development. The consumer rights protection-themed plaza recently jointly created with the Nanqiao District Government and the District Market Supervision Administration highlights the “Five Worry-Free Aspects”—consumer safety, quality, price, service, and rights protection—and comprises more than ten interactive display points, including a 12315 rights protection information bulletin board, a leisure corridor featuring consumer rights protection cartoons, a 12315 rights protection flowerbed, and consumer warning signposts. This plaza is rich in consumer rights protection elements and highly interactive, injecting the spirit of consumer rights protection into residents’ leisure time.
In addition, the Municipal Market Supervision Administration and the Municipal Consumer Rights Protection Committee, together with the Nanqiao District Market Supervision Administration and the District Consumer Rights Protection Committee, have established a municipal-level community rights protection service station and a consumer education demonstration site in the Huxin Road residential community, linking consumer guidance, consumer education, and consumer rights protection into a cohesive system. The consumer rights protection-themed square will also regularly or irregularly host special events focused on consumer rights protection, inviting food safety experts, public interest lawyers, and consumer rights protection volunteers to educate local residents on consumer rights protection topics, using real-life cases to illustrate key points. This approach will enhance the effectiveness of consumer rights protection services, promote social co-governance in consumer rights protection, facilitate the resolution of consumer disputes, and enable residents to address infringement issues encountered during shopping right at their doorstep. As a result, safeguarding consumers’ legitimate rights and interests will become more convenient and routine, thereby boosting community residents’ sense of gain, happiness, and security.
