Chuzhou’s First Consumer Rights Protection Theme Plaza Has Been Completed!

The first consumer rights protection themed square in Chuzhou City has been completed at Xingyuan South Garden in Tianyi Huafu. The “Satisfactory Consumption in the Yangtze River Delta, Worry-Free Consumption in Chuzhou” thematic pillar gleams in the sunlight, perfectly complementing the happy faces of residents strolling or enjoying the cool evening air on the square.
The first consumer rights protection themed square in Chuzhou City has been completed at the South Courtyard of Xingyuan in Tianyi Huafu. The “Satisfactory Consumption in the Yangtze River Delta, Worry-Free Consumption in Chuzhou” thematic pillar gleams in the sunlight, perfectly complementing the happy faces of residents strolling or enjoying the cool evening breeze on the square.
Since 2020, the Municipal Market Supervision Administration and the Municipal Consumer Protection Commission, in collaboration with multiple departments, have actively carried out “Trusted Consumption Initiative” activities by expanding formats, enriching platforms, promoting self-regulation, and leading joint efforts in co-creation and co‑construction. The newly established Consumer Rights Protection Theme Plaza, jointly developed with the Nanqiao District Government and the District Market Supervision Administration, highlights the “Five Assurances” of consumer safety, quality, price, service, and rights protection. It comprises more than a dozen promotional features, including the 12315 Rights Protection Information Bulletin Board, a leisurely corridor featuring consumer rights protection comics, a 12315 Rights Protection Flower Bed, and consumer warning signposts—boasting rich consumer rights protection elements and strong interactive appeal, injecting the spirit of consumer rights protection into residents’ leisure lives.
In addition, the Municipal Market Supervision Administration and the Municipal Consumer Protection Commission have joined forces with the Nanqiao District Market Supervision Administration and the District Consumer Protection Commission to establish a municipal-level community rights protection service station and a consumer education demonstration site in the Huxin Road Residential Community, seamlessly linking consumer guidance, consumer education, and consumer rights protection into a cohesive framework. The Consumer Rights Protection Theme Plaza will also host regular or ad hoc consumer rights protection events, inviting food safety experts, public interest lawyers, consumer rights protection volunteers, and others to educate local residents on matters related to consumer rights protection, using real-life cases to illustrate key points and enhance the effectiveness of consumer rights protection services. This initiative will promote social co-governance in consumer rights protection, facilitate the amicable resolution of consumer disputes, enable residents to address infringements encountered during shopping right at their doorstep, make the safeguarding of consumers’ legitimate rights and interests more convenient and routine, and ultimately boost community residents’ sense of gain, happiness, and security.
